Thumbs up Half-Breed Ball

I have just added a half-breed ball to my list of future projects.
At this point I have not been able to find any numbers or markings on the engine base itself. The cyclinder is a "New Ball". Does anyone have any idea as to the steam engine's original origin? I will try to post additional photos as time allows.

Its a Farrar and Trefts Steam Engine base.

They made two versions of the base, we have an engine that has the same base as yours and there are a few other engines around that has it as well.

I think i read somwhere that it is the pre 1875 steam engine base design, they call them hog trough bases.
