thanks john for bringing the reid rods and parts to portland for all to see. lots of people talking. all good. beautiful work. reid would be jealous. pratice the trombone you bought at portland and bring it to coolspring. i'll bring the berries.

Bullard is a brand name , the type of machine is vertical turret lathe, VTL. Usually 36" dia. on up.

oiled up the bedplates with high concentration texas crude.
Going to start fitting up bearings and crankshaft next.

Rust preventative and " PAINT" preventative! I like the unpainted origonal look. I have seen some Reid engines in thier power house that were never painted,
