Default New Holland Model Latch off Parts

I have a Briesch New Holland model with 6" flywheels and I need help with it. It was originally built by 7 Mtn machine. During a move, a part fell off - the brass part that actually holds the exhaust rocker open during the miss cycle. I believe it is H shaped and possibly about 3/4 to an inch long by about 2/8 wide and 1/8 thick. Does anyone have a apare I could purchase or have machined? Except for that missing part the engine is in good shape.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance,
Andrew

Hi

Are you sure it is Briesch castings? I have a 1/2 scale of a 1/2HP New Holland made by 7 mt's and the letter on the casting is an "R".
You can try Kent, he helped a friend out with a crank when his broke. I do not think he sells castings or finished models any longer but check with him.

K & J - Machine Shop. Kent Smith, 195 Sand Mt, Rd, Spring Mills, P.A. 16875. PH: 814-364-1101 Gas engine casting kits, 1/2 scale of a 1/2 and 1-1/2hp New Holland.

I got the above from the Model List

http://www.antiquengines.com/Davis_M...iers_List_.htm

If that does not work you will need to make one, if its the part I think it is you should be able to make one out of brass or bronze. See if Kent will sell you the drawings

Bob

You are right! I thought it was a poor casting on the block, but my son too said it is an R I will give Kent a call. Thanks for the info.

UPDATE: Turns out I had repaired the engine at some time in the past. My son had taken off the flywheels to polish and clean the engine up, and had reversed the governor latch off assembly by mistake! Engine runs fine now
