What did the 10 Stover bring? Was there reserve prices on engines?

Chris,
There was nothing in the listing about reserves on any of the engines. Didn't find about it till the first one with a reserve on it didn't meet the price they wanted. I think there was four with reserves. The Stover was bid up to 3900 and didn't sell. I asked the owner later what it would take to buy it. 8k

The "10" HP Stover may have been actually been a 8. There was some discrepancy because the tag was not on it. Galan is correct, it bid up to 3900 and reserve was 8000. Ruggles did not sell either. I believe the reserve was 10,000 on it but not sure. The big Bessmer I don't think sold and I'm not sure of the reserve price. The Burgett had a 15k reserve and bidding stopped around 5k. But a deal was made between a local and the owner and he bought it for 14,000. I think everything else sold. I wrote down all the prices on the "nicer" quality engines. Didn't pay much attention to the "junk" pallets or real small stuff.

I can say the 8HP Mule Team is in good hands and runs like a charm.

Most of the flywheel engines went for around retail. Small farm antiques for the most part went real high; one junkie corn sheller went for $1000 but the one next to it in the same shape brought $25. Most of the stuff that sold after the engines and tractors went cheaper. Here are some prices I rember
Stovepipe Atlantic (domestic) $4000
Aermotor $900
Ported Galloway $2700?
48 inch shell sign $2000
Nice Boat and trailer $300
6hp ruggles didn't sell at 3000
Nice easy washer engine $625
maytag single $175
Maytag twin $250
Maytag 82 $300
Maytag mower $650
Maytag upright $550?
Nice origional Briggs fh $250
Briggs wmb belted to a pump around 500
Briggs 8 on a generator $600?
The following followed me home
Shaw duall with a Briggs ZH $150
Two easy washer engines $100 and $130
Briggs PB $250
Briggs FG $220
Junk PB Bolens $90
Briggs ZZ Lindsay $22
