I saw two air cooled engines. One I think is a Brownwall. What is the other one with the beam rocker arm and the intake and exhaust on the front of the head. Ron

Looks like they were really rough on some of the engines. I saw quite a few fresh breaks on them. I think the picture of the full pick up truck box tells a story.

I would sure like that 4 HP early Sparta. Looks like the broke the carb off on that one as well.

Thank you for sharing the link.

Looks like an interesting sale, but they sure beat up the engines! Looks like the scrapper may be busy at this one. Also too bad that it is on the same date as the Delaware Valley OTPA show (Lambertville).

Engines aren't being auctioned till 3:00 PM. Just might have enough time to check out the Del Val show then head over to the auction This bill mentioned a 10% buyers premium. I saw another sale bill that also mentioned 7% sales tax on top of that

Sorry to hear of the barn collapse. This is the 3rd on I have heard of this month. Luckily, the other 2 didn't do too much damage to equipment inside.

the second one was caused by Sandy - a large tree (about 2&1/2 feet in diameter) fell on one end of the barn and caused a 'slow' collapse - the whole barn folded like a stomped milk carton. The owner hadn't been to the barn for a while, and just found that it had went down last week! sad part was neighbors had seen the tree leaning on the barn, but never told him about it! main damage: a John Deere tractor had its hood folded and a cement mixer was partially flattened. The engine was untouched in the mixer. most of the engines in the barn were protected by a wooden Hardie sprayer. It took the impact of the main roof ridge beam and held the weight! Once the roof was removed, the sprayer was still intact and in good shape!. My friend is going to have some Amish friends come look at the barn, to see if it can be re-constructed with some repairs to the roof and side that was hit by the fallen tree.

I spied an Onan W2C engine in the lot! No gen on it, but has the radiator (and the hard to find original cap).

I'd be interested in results if anyone attended. Wish I would've known ahead, I would have attended.

A lot of people wrote them down, none posted here yet. I got several John Smith models (witte look alikes) for 100 per, my son got a wolesely 2 Hp for 350. A Briesh associated with brass flywheels brought 550 (stuck governor).
Most engines had a few parts missing, or were badly worn. Quite a few John Deere engines broken down into parts (lots of parts in boxes). 2 partial maytag twins, and a long frame 92 single, and a huge pile of 92 type flywheels and parts were there. No complete maytag engines though.

I only have a few prices. 7 HP Hercules economy - 900, IHC vertical 3000, 5 HP Galloway 550, B&S FI on saw rig, all there but stuck 1100, B&S FI on saw rig-engine missing many parts 800, Old generater20. If someone else has more prices, please post. My son remembers more than I, I will add to the post if I can get him to write them down

I am pretty sure it sold for $3000.00. I do not know the HP.
The vertical IHC also was $3000.00

"7 HP Hercules economy - 900" Mr Mackey.
Actually sold for $1000.00 & went to a good home in Pa.
It will get much needed love & attention.
It was a long drawn out auction.
Shane

The table saws had FHs and sold for 700 and 1050. That's all I stayed for.

We have another auction with 14 or so engines coming up at the end of the year. If there is anyone that would like to consign engines, parts, or primitive antiques, please let us know.

Thanks to everyone that attended our previous engine auction!
