The Ottawa twin went to Ohio.

I got a few boxes of small items like Ottawa literature, magnetos, and other engine parts. The only engine I brought home was the IHC M 1.5hp for $550. It was on a nice IHC style cart and started right up when I got it home.

The nice thing about that auction was that you really didn't need to preview the items looking for freeze cracks or botched repairs. Everything was in great shape and clean. George and Helen did a great job of taking care of those engines.

I wasn't even there. Just think what those engines would have brought if they weren't all PAINTED up.

I don't know who it was but I have it written down as the same bidder number that also got the #28 Union Giant, 1.5hp hopper cooled, ported engine. Both really nice engines.

It was 2300 miles and 4 days to take in the Ottawa Caretakers sale but it was worth it to see all those Ottawa engines in one place. And I did get to bring home a couple of souvenirs, a 3HP and a 4HP. The 3HP even came on an Ottawa cart!

I'd post a picture if I could figure out how to do it on here!

Yeah, the 3hp on the original cart with the heat riser carb and Webster mag was a nice engine.

I find it easier to host the pictures on a photo sharing site like photobucket and then copy and paste the "IMG" code into your post here. I think these are the two engines you bought.

3hp on the original Ottawa cart.

4hp

Almost feel bad for George, he has to see them sell twice. That's why I buy only from privet individuals. Shouldn't be marked up reselling of them, just burns me hind end. Nuff said.

I don't see a problem with it at all If people who buy and sell weren't there a lot of that stuff wouldn't have brought squat (especially the parts)! Regardless of what anyone thinks, that's a fact... There were not a lot of buyers there compared to many auctions I go to.
