All you have to do, is bid more than the resellers and it's yours. There is only so high they can go and still have ...... as the pickers say..... some meat on the bones.

I have to disagree.
If I was George I would be glad to see Jon and others like him show up to get the prices up. When your selling over 40 engines of one kind there is only so many collectors to buy them.
I hope Jon shows up if mine end at auction.
Bob you're correct.

I drove 1484 miles one way to attend the auction. More to see George than buy. Spent a bunch on parts and didn't get an engine. Jon and I tangled on three and he won. No big deal, that is what he does to support his hobby. Glad he was there. I didn't come home to an empty shed as I have 28 Ottawa engines myself. And the parts will complete a couple of them. George was glad to see eleven of his engines returning to Kansas.

I brought 4 home to Ottawa - 3 in the garage and 1 in the museum.

The Warner, Giant, and Ottawa with hopper mounted gas tank in my collection. The Historical Society has a great benefactor that's given us the means to obtain some artifacts. I'm the lucky guy that got to bid on and bring home the the 2 1/2 hp to put in the museum (red one in the bunch).
