Default Lister TS2 generator?

Well I made spontaneous buy on a TS2. My SR2 needs a lot of work and I have been keeping my eye out for used or cheap parts, but haven't found much.
I came across this running TS2 for $450 and couldn't resist. I don't know much about it except it came out of a light plant. It has a 8000 KW Dyna Generator head on it that isn't working, so now I am looking for a generator.
I'll pull the heads this weekend and take a look at the cylinders, and valves.
What generator end would be a good fit? I am thinking maybe a Samford if the motor doesn't need much money put into it.

have to checked if it was just an extension issue and not the windings?
a capacitor is a bit cheaper then a new alternator

light it off check the voltage, if it's putting out acuple volts on each leg then the stator is good

try the corded drill trick, with it running and pulling the trigger spin the motor on the drill, try it a couple time see if it takes off on it's own

i'm going out on a limb and say check the and see the capacitor, take 12 volts and just tap the connectors then start it see if it puts out power

if this that dose not work take a pic of the data tag and with the cover off it show us the components
btw i can throw a rock at your house

I had a chance to pull the valve covers along with the exhaust, and intake manifolds yesterday. It looks like its in pretty good shape. I didn't bother pulling the heads, because the exhaust manifold was very clean, and if I was to guess has low hours on it. It came out of a Terex light plant and almost all the bolts haven't been cracked since it was painted.

I'll have to check out the generator and see if its just capacitor or the alternator. Anyways thanks ckelp.
