Default 40+ engine Estate Auction in Spokane, Washington

My grandfather's collection of 40+ engines will be auctioned off on April 11th at 12noon, PST. There is some really neat stuff in there like a 6 hp Mogul, a Mogul Jr. Slant top (with spare block), 5 HP round-rod Galloway, Briggs FB, Maytag multi-motor, a 1-1/2 HP New Way horizontal, etc. There is a lot of miscelleaneous lots of tools, magnetos, coils, saws, implements, etc. as well.

Here's a link to the auction. Online bidding is encouraged, and we are offering up to 7 days of free storage to allow for transportation arrangements.

There will be two days of preview time on April 9th and the 10th, as well as the morning before the auction. I am trying to work out a deal with a Hotshot Freight company that has a great reputation to handle some of the long-distance hauling if that is necessary.

I grew up in this shed with Grandpa and it is a little sad to see them all go, but it is time. If anybody has any questions about the auction or the engines, I'll check back in here often to answer them as best I can. One thing I do know is that the auction only has a 7% buyer's premium, so that should help up the interest.

Thanks for looking,

Chris

If anybody has any questions about equipment in the auction, or anything else - I'll be happy to answer them, or try to, asap.

For those who are in the Western half of the US, I've reached out to a hotshot flatbed freight guy that has hauled this type of equipment before. Gary is a very knowledgeable guy, and he can probably help you move it anywhere west of the Mississippi. If you're interested in talking logistics, please contact him via his website at http://www.hotshotdispatching.com/ for information.

Thanks,

Chris

Here's an updated link to the auction - if the moderators could replace the link in my first post with this one I'd appreciate it -

I always see people asking what auction prices were, so I thought I'd give a quick update on the auction. There were some great deals, especially on the high end stuff! The slant top Mogul Jr with extra block went for $2300, the 8 hp Stover went for $1300, the round rod 5hp Galloway brought $2200, and the best deal of the day was the 6hp sideshaft Mogul that went for $4200.
Thanks to all that looked and those of you who bid and won.
Chris
