Default Bessemer splash shield

Can anyone tell if these splash shields were on all 10 HP Bessemer's or was it a extra cost

Looks like they were only for 5 and 8 horsepowers. Maybe it is homemade

Greetings All, Robert I have a firm belief your splash guard is original as I have a early 15 hp. engine with the same. Not to many around as most were pitched in the scrap pile. Enuf Said.

Greg, I know the shield has been on it the last fifty two years before that have no info on it, two other people said they have seen the tin ones on a few of them
