Copper water jackets on cylinders? If so may have been a K-2 Watermen type engine. They were sold under many labels Waterman, Dispro, F/M, Arrow engine works and others. Good runners, also used as fire pump engines and rated at 5 HP, 12:1 gas to oil ratio!

Sure would like to see some detail pictures of what you saw. My research says in 1906 F/M was building marine engines at it's Sheffield (RR) Car Co. plant located in Three Rivers, Michigan. I have 2 - 8" x 10" pictures taken in the machine room of the plant showing the cylinder / water jacket castings setting on the wood floors waiting to be machined. I also have 3 - 8" X 10" pictures showing a F/M single cylinder marine engine (Type "M") for salt water use. The engine is mounted into and providing power to a small 3 wheeled piece of farm equipment being displayed at a trade show for McCormick. Sylvan82
