Default MEP-005a Faucet Fuel Pumps

I just bought a mep-005a and it appears the fuel pumps are bad. I can tap on one of them and it will start pumping slowly and fill up the day tank. The bottom of the pumps appear to come off like they are serviceable, is this true? Is there a rebuild kit for them?

I did a brief search and did not come up with one.

The bottoms of the pumps come off and there is a filter in them. I removed and cleaned out the filters/pumps and they started working again. I found some generic ones on fleebay for $25 and ordered 2 before I got these working so I guess I will have some spare pumps.

I have found aftermarket electric fuel pumps of all types to be very unreliable for something like a generator which needs to just work every time.

Usually OEM pumps are OK. The manufacturer did not want warranty claims.

But aftermarket junk is just set up to cater to Billy Bob who is too lazy or inept to replace the mechanical pump on his 350 Chevy.
