Default Mystery Gang Plow

Hi all,

I found this mystery gang plow in my adventures, and am wondering if anyone can ID it, and tell me if it is worth rescuing or not?

Basically all the important parts are gone, just the basic frame and wheels left.

Cast number in the front wheel hubcaps is 696 (or 969 depending on if you're standing on your head or not)

The drawbar end has a big horseshoe shaped part.

I don't know anything about these old gang plows, so educate me!

What is it?

I wish you had better pictures but it looks like it had a power lift on it, possibly Avery?

Yeah, sorry, it was VERY hard to get pics of, there is a huge pine tree basically on top of it!

I can go get more pics if there is something specific that everyone needs to see to ID it. I was hoping you guys could tell from these few shots

Most likely a John Deere as they were the most common plows around.Their does not seem to be much left of it.More/better pictures might help

You have found a portion of an Avery power lift engine gang plow. It appears to have been a 8 or 10 bottom plow.

It is absolutely worth saving, if nothing else somebody may need a part or two and you just don't find parts for these, you find whole plows. And you won't find as many whole ones as you will later plows, so it's value is mostly in it's number.

I have an Avery power lift missing lots of parts. I could use any extra parts if you get them.

Got the plow drug out in the open where we can have a better look at it now. Took a little video for you guys.

So is this an Avery then? I'll be giving you a call one of these days when I get time Joe to see if you need this for parts? Or if anyone else might? Let me know, thanks!
