Default Trip to USA/Canada

I have finally booked our flights to the USA / Canada to see old and interesting tractors. I will be travelling with two mates from New Zealand all three of us are tractor collectors. We arrive in time for the LeSuer show then hope to visit Crosby followed by Rollag. We then have some spare time before Albany, if anyone has some suggestion in this time period it will be appreciated. After Albany we are flying to Winnipeg and driving west visiting the Western Development Museums along the way Finally flying out of Edmonton Sept 28th. We would greatly appreciate the opportunity to meet with Smoke Stakkers along the way.

Norm, the Crosby show is the 14,15,16 next week if that's when you are planning? Or were you thinking of just stopping by there in the fall? If you get there for the show, We will be there in steamer row working with the 2 Nichols & Sheppard engines. Lodging can be scarce but possible. Frank

When you're at Rollag you have to stop at Beiwers tractor salvage and see Gary and Don, they'll probably show you their personal collection, but you can spend all day at the yard and might end up taking home a new treasure. Jim

There is a very fine show at New Rockford, ND , Sept. 15-17. One of the best:

There is also the Dale and Martha Hawk Museum north of there at Wolford:

There is the Manitoba Agricultural Museum at Austin:

Hi Norm, All the shows and places of interest that are mentioned would make for excellent stops. We look forward to your visit to Le Sueur Pioneer Power show.

The Old Trusty show in Clay Center Nebraska is hosting the MMCI collectors summer show Sept. 9-10. www.oldtrusty.org. Also within 70 miles is the Stuhr Museum at Grand Island and Pioneer Village at Minden both are excellent places with nice tractor displays. I'm sure you'll have an exciting trip wherever you go.

Norm you should come to our show at the Manitoba Agricultural Museum at the end of July we are exhibiting john deere as our feature this year. If you can make it Ill put you on my 1927 D and let you play with it for the day. Our show is the 3rd largest in north America with Rolag being the 2nd largest. My opinion would be to do both shows if you can. send me a pm if you think you can make it

Norm Johnston from Australia and his friend Jim (Barefoot) Richardson from New Zealand made it to the Le Sueur, Mn. show on last Friday and stayed till Sunday. Had a great time visiting with them, giving them a tour of the show and taking them to my farm for a short visit there. I wish them well on their trip in the US and Canada.
