It was great to be there and see old friends as well as make new ones. Hoping it won't be 3 yrs before I can make it back this time.

Here are a couple of videos I took of the Tractors and the engines at Crosby. Sorry about all the wind noise during the first part of the tractor video. It was very windy on Friday!

Hi Guys

It has been a busy few weeks in Crosby ND! First the threshing bee! Then the Rivers Auction! Last weekend the 100th anniversary of the Court House! There was a parade for that too! We paraded tractors/threshing machines and cars down main street along with many other parade entries!

Today I was down to Crosby and got the Tillsoil running. We got it together and outside just before the show and ran it for a few minutes but it needed more tinkering. So today was the day to tinker. I got it to run a pretty good but of course it ran better after I took the video. It made six warranty laps around the shop then we backed it inside (all under its own power) for more details to be added!

Here is the video https://youtu.be/hCdT8ucJCKs

Till soil sounds pretty good maybe a little rich. Fine tuning will look after that.

ID:	288308I found the sign pictured below while I was loading a work bench I purchased at Tony's auction. No Dean, the bench is not for my use but for my "friends" use that so willingly do the work for me. I was perplexed that it is J.O. Tysse and Riverstein completely baffled me. John explained it all. The sign was made by Waldo Morstad and placed on the road in front of John and Tony's shops many years ago. Waldo referred to John as J.R. after JR Ewing of Dallas fame and Tony as Riverstein due to his bargaining behavior. I agreed with John that the sign should remain in Crosby. Waldo another great name from the past.

Will, you should post the engine video in the gas engine section also. I think there are a lot of gas engine guys that don't make it over here to the tractor section. Nice video.

Hi Guys

Went to Crosby but nobody was home today! John and Glynn had gone to the Drake ND show. But there is always something to do. Put the mag back on the Little Devil Hart Parr so it can go to the New Rockford show next weekend. Also with the help of parts from the Fordson house I put a new manifold on a Fordson for a fellow from out in Oregon who used to live near Crosby. He wanted to get it running for the show next year. The old manifold looked terrible! Huge cracks and would have not been worth while welding since a new one was available. It ran like a top after!

https://youtu.be/8oFnkUPcpF0

Thought I had a video of the Little Devil running too but I must have pushed the wrong button and only have a snap shot! But it ran good too!

That fordson has been the source of a lot of fun ribbing Wilbur about it not running long enough to make the parade! Now he won't have any excuses.

While we were preparing the food and setting the table, Dean and Josh along with Dale Howard were putting the engine in the second Tilsoil. A good time to do it while the first one is there for a blueprint.

Those aren't dishes John is washing in the parts washer! He was busy helping with the Tilsoil!

Oh I almost forgot......Deans Daughter Kailey had taken pictures of some of the Rumely tractors that were featured at Crosby last year and they put together a calendar for 2018.

The calendar looks great!

BUT I came across this picture in the calendar! Now a while ago here on the STAK there was a thread which was focused on the proper attire to be worn at a threshing bee or any other antique tractor event. NO WHERE in that thread did it mention that it was proper to wear a LAMP SHADE for a hat while in a parade!

Now there is always a SLIM chance of this occurring........ but one would expect it to be across the state line just west of the MONTANA Line! If you look real close the SLIM fellow in the picture might have a Fisher Price screwdriver in his hand!

Kelly, I thought we had resolved this issue at the show. I am sorry that this hat, that was given to me my recently departed Mother, was my way of honoring her and that I would locate another for you for the 2018 show in your favorite color of pink. I have located one in your large head size. Should I purchase it for you?

Yes please! Red and green for the festive season would be the ticket!

Merry Christmas Krug!

Kelly, I can understand the others not understanding since they haven't heard the story about the hat that I told you last July. To refresh your memory and inform the others remember that although I was 66, it was then that my Mother, almost on her death bed, noticed how thin my hair was. I was her youngest and thus always her baby. I had to promise her that I would wear her old gardening hat while fishing and at tractor shows. Someone remarked after you left the feed, that it was unlike you to spill your drink and leave the mess for others to clean up. Hopefully this is just premature aging and not something you will have to test the Canadian medical system with. I wish you and yours a Very Merry Christmas and no hard feelings over your memory lapse.
