Default Dragsaw ID & Value?

What is is? Approx age? Value? It looks restored.
It is saying "Take me home" so I need some guidance.

Thanks,
Patrick

Looks like a Cascade saw.

I was told by the seller it was a Vaughn but that person is not a dragsaw expert. I do not know.

Do you have the serial number for this saw? it would be stamped on the flat where the crankcase and the cylinder meet. I'd like to get that to add to the drag saw registry.

It was built by Beaver, not too much information on the company around, or much showing years built. I have a couple advertisements.

If it was sold by Sears it would have been badged "Cascade" and through Montgomery Ward, called "Climax".

It just uses a battery and coil, so you are not buying a Wico Ek magneto. Personally if the engine is good and looking at it, overall it looks pretty good. Check for cracks, compression, etc.

The wheel on the back is not factory.

Thanks for the info. Is this saw in any way rare? If sold through a major retailer like Sears and Montgomery Ward implies it was a "comodity" product. Any thought as to what might be a fair offer to make?
