Default Vintage Generator with a Power Products AH47 carb issue

Hello everyone I believe I have a Power Products AH-47 motor with a Fairbanks Morse recoil (not sure of the year. Anyone know?) I had a coil issue, (no spark) which I resolved. Now I would like to rebuild the carburetor. The number on the carburetor is MT37A. Is there a kit for this carburetor? Thank you

That thing is pretty cool! Can't help with the carb, but someone may have some info. Welcome to The 'Stak!

Search Tillotson MT on ebay, you will find carburetor kits for these carburetors. The AH47 is the most common Power Products engine made. They were literally used on a thousand different model chainsaws. Parts should be very easy to source for them.

Thank you very much Cris. Is that what I have is the ah47? Is there a way to know the year?

Hi Chris, thank you for getting back to me. I took your advise and went to eBay and looked up Tillotson MT and I couldn’t find a kit for the MT37A carb. Can it be crossed referenced? Thanks again

Oh I have another question. The exhaust is quite weird. Never seen one like this. Am I supposed to loosen the nut on the exhaust end plate and just keep the plate loose or how does it work? I will upload another picture

Default Vintage Generator with a Power Products AH47

Hello everyone, I am guessing when I say I think I have a Power Products AH-47 model 1000. All of the AH-47ís I see online have the round gas tank. I do know the recoil is a Fairbanks Morse. Why I was guessing on the Powr Products, was because of the yellow unreadable decal. So Iím asking for your help in identifying this motor. Year and make.
Thank you for your time

It does look like a pp 1000. I have never seen one with a recoil starter unless it is later one. I have a 1000 but it all aluminum and has a rope cup start. Arlie

If the tag of the engine is missing, all hope is not lost. Power Products often put a piece of sheet metal about the size of a quarter fastened to one of the bolts which secured the cylinder jug to the crankcase. If this tag is present, post the number that is stamped on it. The model engine can be determined from this number. Power Products also stamped the model of the engine on the flywheel/recoil hold down.
