Chris
My Dad and I have a Witte 3 hp logsaw. We have had it since I bought it at a estate auction in 1986. Runs Great we have had fun sawing logs at the Sandwich Fair since 1986. http://www.smokstak.com/gallery/show...=7&userid=1258 This is a link to a pic of the saw and Dad at the Fair. Steve Barr on his website has more pics of our saw and of a Economy saw owned by The Wallace Family. Glad to see you are interested in old iron. I have been in the hobby since I was your age!

I have a 1.5 Hercules hit and miss drag saw. Responding to someone elses comment I have come to the conclusion you drag the log to the saw - they are a beast moving them by yourself.

Hi,
Luke "Sawman" Kissell here. I have an Ireland with self-feeding log trolley, an Ottawa with swing saw and tree felling attachment, a Hercules, had an original Witte and Vaughn with original lettering. Also have a hand powered rig from the Chicago Folding Saw Company.

Hi All,

I have two cheese hoppers Wittes. One complete with saw and the other minus it's saw . Don't see to many complete saw sets out and about on the uk rally scene.

Thanks

Jeremy.

I am working on getting an Economy saw up and going.

Are the Hercules/Economy saws very rare? Seems like I never see them. Just wondering.
