Default Wisconsin 12HP Twin Cylinder w/magneto and generator

The Title says it all - well almost. I have a 1950's generator set powered by a 12 HP Wisconsin engine mounted on a serious frame. Interesting engine - both cylinders are at TDC at the same time, one in compression, the other at exhaust. It is a hand crank start. The generator has massive windings. I bet the who rig weights in at nearly 400 lbs. the engine runs for short bursts, but the carb is in poor shape.

Is this thing of interest to anyone?

I would guess this is supposed to run at 1800 rpm? These make good users as well as neat collectables. I have an AGH-powered Winco that runs at 1800 rpm that is my main back-up generator at the house.

A word of advice.

Donít run that engine until you remove the line from the back of the governor housing and make sure the oil pump is working.

Remove the line and the spark plugs. Spin the engine with the crank until oil comes out of the line. It will be a pulse not a stream.
