Default Hornsby Transport Wheels for Auction on Sunday

I saw this auction in Melbourne, for Sunday, that has a set of R.Hornsby (Akroyd? I think) transport wheels, as well as an Austral lamp and an incomplete 3HP M Type IHC, if anyone is interested in attending. I get the impression that the items won't make top-dollar.

Now if only I still lived in Fawkner instead of here in Merbein. I couldn't be further away. Would take a full day to just "have a quick look here. Several "small" engines, Golden Fleece glass top for bowser, and heaps of good stuff. The 15 per cent buyer premium will hold a few back, cheers, John

Hello all
I reckon there will be a huge crowd there. Literally something for everyone.
So you spotted the little Southern Cross engines too John. What is that big flyball governor with flywheel looking thingo?

Cheers Scott

That's a governor for a lift, I've seen them in lift-motor rooms in some of the older buildings in the city.

Because nobody wants it or the prices were too high?

Did anyone go to that auction?

Cheers Scott

I guess that is one way to make the auction LOOK bigger than it actually is.

Quite a few items were posted many times, 3 or 4 at least.
