No I donít. I only have short motor with no ignition system or carburettor. That being my problem working in dark as to whether these parts are available or would other model parts fit.
With thanks

Here's a video of my fathers Elgin. Yours doesn't seem to have the deflooder valve on the side like this one. Base looks the same, top plate/crankcase are a little different. Possibly different year/design. This is an unusual carb to try and find.

Elgin never had serial numbers on they're flywheels. And no casting #'s on them either to my knowledge. The 'K' number on the flywheel is a catalog washing machine part number. I have never seen or heard of one with a 'K' number though. The early Maytag uprights used a lot of the same parts as the Elgins for the first half year of production or so. My assessment is its a very early Maytag. See you have the crank for it, super rare. Kevin

Brian,

This is what we call a half breed Elgin/Maytag. The flywheel for Maytag were thing like the one you have in the pic. You can use a Maytag E Carb to get the fuel part fixed now as for the commcator or ignition part I have seen them made for the 1/2 hp but not for the 1hp. It it a nice looking engine hope you can find the part down there.
