Joe, Nice find can't be near me or that creek bed would be flowing after the 6" of rain we had! Happy new year to you and the family,
regards Chris

Hi Wayne i knew you would know, yes it is a Coluson about two tonnes of it we dug it out to day it has 54" flywheels and 9' bore some missing parts but surprisingly from the out side it looks restorable, is the timms coulson a portable or stationary ?

hi Chris yes there was water but it was handy to rinse the mud off and qench Brock's thirst after digging it out but not enough to bog the tractor.

Hi Joe,

Very nice engine.

From the bore size and flywheel diameter it sounds very much the same size as the one my brother Grant has on a transport.

The light flywheels and cooling tower gave it away.

Regards,
Wayne

Hi Joe

Looks interesting, would it fit on the project you're getting from the USA this year? It sounds to about the right size.

some encouraging news on the new find, after cutting the bolts off the hot bulb as i knocked it loose there was a hiss of air either vacuum or air pressure in side, which i have never seen before , there was no moisture at all inside just black soot which is more than i can say for the other end of the piston but she is now soaking in kersene.

Hi Joe, this hissing sound may not have been pressure or vaccuum. It was probably a sigh of relief after being saved from another flood.
