I arrived home on the 1st of June with the wheels, and no problems on the entire trip. Meet the father of a fellow stakker and I'd like to thank them for help and generosity.
Last Tuesday I was able to get the clutch installed in the 500. It slid back together easier and better than I thought it would, got it bolted together and pushed back inside the shed because they were calling for heavy rain end of week. I was able to get back to it today, and by 10 pm tonite I drove it for the first time. The clutch will need to be adjusted along with a few other things then on to changing the wheels, that e ill probably be an adventure all in itself. Jim

Well it's all ready for its debut this weekend at Natl. Threshers. Last week I buttoned up all the little things, that included repairing a crack in the bottom rad tank, fixing the brakes, and removing the rear wheel weights. That alone took 1400 lbs off this beast. The clutch works great by the way. Leave Thursday morning, hope to run into some fellow Stakkers there and do some visiting. Hope to see you there, Jim

Hope you are having fun down there! I wasn't able to get away this year, but Dad went down and seemed pleased for a Thursday.

Weather was great yesterday, had a nice talk with Uncle G, and several other old friends, after the parade was over Wendell put the 30-60 Mogul on the sawmill. Thats the first time it has been labored since it's restoration and the first time since the late 40's early 50's that it has been worked.
Very good line up of prairie tractors this year, Aultman Taylor, Flour City, Rumley,Russel, Avery, Pioneer, even a Little Oak.
But everything is on hold today, the rain has set in, hopefully tomorrow is a better day, except there probably won't be no plowing. Jim
