Alan; Sorry you're needing to sell the B.S. I watched it for years on the north side of Route 20 at the overpass bridge as we went to club activities.
Winnebago Twp, Winnebago Co sold one and I told George Hedtke and he bought it. We got it running and it had a wood cab and we called it, "The Outhouse on Wheels". It sold at his estate sale.
I have a Gallion roller with an IHC Industrial 20 (10-20) chassis.

Ed, maybe you can bring the roller to RRT next year. It will fit in with Guy Fay's collection.

Thank You Craig.

I didn't know if that would be allowed or not which is why I didn't do it myself.

Even though I didn't put it in the listing (and don't think I will) I'm almost thinking about extending that 10% discount to SmokStak members as well. Or maybe 5% anyway. I'd Still like to see it stay Within Stephenson County where it was used, but I could give Ed or anyone else on here a little bit of a discount just to know where it ends up and maybe be able to see it again sometime in the future or at least see pictures posted of it if nothing else.

I just went and dropped the Buy It Now price from the high $12,000.00 to a hopefully more realistic $7500.00 which may still be too high but time will tell I guess. 5% off of that would give someone $375.00 to put towards fuel to come and get it. Or at least $270.00 savings for fuel at my start price.

There was nice Buffalo-Springfield gas roller that sold at the Gary Parker auction a few years ago. I believe it brought $3250 and looked like it would start up and drive on your trailer.

Terry;
My Gallion is not in running condition. Otto's or mine could be bought.

I am not the roller guy. I passed up my chance to buy Pat's steam roller. I will pass this on to him to see if he has any interest.

I wasn't there so I can't say what condition it was in other than to say looks can be deceiving.

If they didn't start it at the auction it was probably because they couldn't start it. That price does sound vaguely familiar though from what I saw posted on here after the auction. I've only ever seen one other one ever listed for sale and that was 15 years or so ago for around the same price I put on mine.

Did Parker's auction have a buyer's premium and/or tax added on to the prices ? I don't remember how it was set up .... But again, I am offering a discount to people on here and a bigger discount to Local buyers trying to keep it local.

Time will tell....

Here's another guy on eBay trying to sell a pair of rear wheels for almost 3 grand.....

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Kelly-Spring...3D251726365209

Makes my $5400.00 for the whole roller sound a little more reasonable.

I have it set for one automatic relist, then it will go on the 30 day buy it now format.

Don't know if it helps anyone On Here or not, but I lowered my start price a little along with lowering the buy it now by a grand.

Discounts still apply.
