Speaking of hugs, I was at the Canadian Tire in Paris this morning. A gal that works there came up and gave me a hug, just for the heckuvit. We always have visited and joked around. Best thing that happened to me today! Needless to say, that store gets my business, and will always be a-number-one in my books!
Have you given anyone a hug today?

That would be like giving a hug to a Clydesdale horse

That's no way to talk about the gals at Canadian Tire!
She is more of a lithe, standardbred filly!

Those poor girls at CT must have thought they had their arms around a Percheron horse when they gave you a hug

Received my copy of this book, spent some time discussing it with some serious tractor guys and Iíve got to say thank you Rick, for giving the effort and creating this record of such an exciting and historical event. This book needs to be on every enthusiasts shelf whether their steam, gas, steel wheels, tracks or rubber tire guys. This is a true spectacle of history, facts pictures and stories that will have most of these books dog eared and worn in no time. Amazing pictures, and endless information of the exciting early days of tractor development. Proof that Mr. Mannen is without a doubt in the upper echelon of our hobby. His research and dedication to facts is equal to his machine restorations . Job well done Rick, you should be very proud of this book.

My shipment arrived today, so for everybody that has ordered from me, they will go out tomorrow. Thanks Onkle G for putting all of this information together in one book. It was a tremendous undertaking and we all appreciate it.

Thank you Brenda for all that you do for this hobby. You are one of the hardest working people I know, and we are all the better for it.

Well, he should be used to it by now! He still cannot believe I was able to convince George to bring the Port Huron 25 Highwheeler to NTA in 2007 for the Port Huron feature.

Instead of being "embarrassed," he should be giving us a portion of his profits from his fabulous new book! We are helping his cause... I wonder if Craig could create a ticker for us to monitor our influence on sales?

Nope, let him keep them. Maybe he’ll be able to get a few more well done books out before he tips over. I’ll bet book revenue doesn’t cover half of the expenses it takes to research and produce a quality product. We need more history tell’rs, it’s the history and stories that keep the interest alive in these old machines.

Man! Looking at the figures in this book that 35-115 Sawyer-Massey was a force to recon with. I think there was very few built and quite late when every one else was discontinuing those very large engines. All I know of is an existing boiler from one.
