Hi, just picked up on this in steelsodiers forum, thought I'd pass it along. Found 8 affected units around house & shop.

Plastic valves have been a problem for 30 years. They don't learn and have to keep on making them cheaper.

You wonder how many companies make any money, think Takata air bags and Kidde. Any time you have to replace half the product you have ever made, there can't be much profit left.
