REMINDER: Update Your Router Firmware

You didn't know that your router is a computer? It too needs occasional updates to keep it functional and away from the intruders.

You can typically reach your own router on the web at http://192.168.1.1/

If you didn't write down your user name and password, that might be a problem. Also make the password more complex than your cats name or you could have other individuals doing your setup programming!

If it needs an update, there is typically a message flag that says so. Click and follow the instructions and DO NOT power down while updating!

If you don't have a router, these give you a WI-FI connection from your internet modem to other systems in your home and they also have four cable connection ports to add other computers or printers.
