Default 1010 JOHN DEERE Timing marks

Hi Guys

I am looking for a little help. A friend of mine is fixing up a 1010 John Deere (gas). When he is putting the engine together he noticed two timing marks on the cam and crank. I have attached two pictures. A and B. Can anyone tell me for sure which mark to use? I vote for A with the two dots lined up. But the other mark is more prominent! All we have is an IT manual that says "be sure to line up the marks"!

So if any of you John Deere mechanics can help us out it would be greatly appreciated!

Kelly,
I'm going to say thr punch mark is the right one, that's mostly what JD used...my manual is down in the shop, & I'm eating lunch right now. I'll take a look after while...
