A friend has a chance to get one it's serial# is 52630 it has a front loader and runs. About what year was it made and what HP? Seller wants $1500.00 is that a ball park price. Thank you for any input. Jerry Willis

It is a later one. Production started in 1960 when Deere ended the 2 cylinder line. Production ended in 64 or 65 when the 1020 was introduced. Look it over real good. The engine design is a little unique. For a light duty loader tractor if eveything is in good condition it is a bargain.

Gas or Diesel? Unlike most cases, I'd rather have a gas 1010 or 2010 than a Diesel. The Diesel was not the best idea JD ever had, & parts are starting to get scarce...injectors, for example. Light duty would be the byword for a loader on a 1010...$1500 is not a bad price if it runs & the rubber is decent.
