Open the wiring connection box, sometimes the put a 12 lead in as you said, I do not believe they "burried" them so IF it would happen to be a 12 wire, all 12 wires would be in the box.
However, I have no idea it they did that with magniciters.

Iím not actually sure that magneciter sets are 12 lead . The differing voltage codes I have seen are all some variations of 4 wire single or 3 phase. Cheers Dan

So from what I have read there is a pretty slim chance it would be anything other than a 4 wire head, but one could hope

Got nothing to lose, only takes a minute to take screws off cover of reconnection box and look.

Think reason for using a 12 lead stator is it's generic, I think it can be wired for almost any use. Helps with production scheduling. They likely would be sitting on a shelf with long leads, available for almost any voltage code order. So if I were the engineer in charge I'ld just tell production to install it and wire the connections inside the reconnection box.

I'll pick it up over the weekend, I'll take a look then.

It is possible.
It will require a light touch to open up the ends and bring all those leads out though.
I would think twice about it and I know what I am doing.....

I am looking for the mounting dimensions for the JC feet, it is sitting on a pallet now. When I go get it I would like to put it right on a frame to make it stable to move.

I found it, 11" front engine 11.5" rear engine 21" long.

Thanks

BB Chev re your comment in post #22. The fact that it may be a Magneciter has nothing to do with how the stator is configured, that is 12 leads, 3 phase or single phase. The Magneciter is simply a revolving field design and produces the magnetic field which cuts across the stator windings what ever the configuration. Good comment, however.

Leon I am basing my comments on the fact that I have never seen a 12 lead magneciter gen end , though I have seen many odd voltage codes hey have all been 4 lead ends. I have never heard of anyone owning one either. I have seen many YD gen end 12 lead sets, common as can be. If you have definitive information please share with us. Perhaps Billy or one of the other oldtimers could shed some light on the issue. Cheers Dan

Leon, I have no info about this, I have read threads with no notice weather the gen was a magniciter or not. I have read threads back to 2009 about the same thing I am wondering about. They usually end without a difintive answer.

For what its worth I went back through about 100 build sheet of magneciters and all seem to be 2, 3, or 4 wire. No 12 wire.

Made a skid out of a 12' 4x4 and a 2x8 and some angle iron. Now to go pick up the jc.
