Only 5 kw from a four cylinder engine screaming at 3600 rpm??? That engine could probably do that on one cylinder!! Who designed THAT?!? That set should be 1200 rpm.

It's not a Willys engine. I doubt if a Willys engine could turn 3600 rpm and stay together. My 1939 willys is a 134 ci with MILE long rods. The later Willys jeep engines were also 134 ci. Here is a Willys rod: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Willys-Jeep...1Yk9wo&vxp=mtr

Must be a small Hercules, or Continental. Pretty cool Joe. You JUST can't leave Commiefornia can you?

Looked at the pdf that MBB posted and it looks like it is a Continental engine with a Readi-Pull start. Look close on the left side on the PDF.

I see the Readi-Pull start cord on the first picture on the second posting where you show a picture of the back of the generator.

A cool conversation piece, but in the end I think you will end up with a lawn ornament worth what the scrap man will pay when you drop it off in his yard. You will never be able to sell it. Save your money for the next Onan to come along.

The seller is dreaming at $1,000 or anywhere close to that. Maybe if another WWII movie is made he can rent it out as a prop.

Looks like an old Continental. 3600 RPM's no problem for one of those.
