Even our old cat has no interest in going out!
I have to, to go put wood in the stove.

Two degrees F in Buffalo this morning. Expect record cold for this evening, but Ball Drop is still on in down town Buffalo.

Just talked to our daughter in Virginia Beach. Her friends there are complaining about the cold because it was 38 F this morning. She could not sympathise with them because her family spent the past week with his parents in Sherbrook, Quebec where it went down to -18 C. The grand kids 18 and 15 miss winter in Virginia Beach.

We are -26 here at the moment too. South central Ontario. Its so cold that the kids are trying to roast marshmallows outside the arena here and the darn things are freezing too quick to stick the stick into 'em

It's below freezing here, and expected to be mid to low 20's tonight. Our plumbing is not geared up for this. everything is wrapped and or insulated but it can only do so much. Hoping and praying no busted pipes when things warm up. Wind chill is in the teens. I do realize there is colder weather above us but, our climate is not geared up for these tempts. Hope all get warmed up, unscaved.

Keep your taps dripping and things should not freeze (with any luck)

Funny, doesn't matter how cold or hot it is, prawns (shrimp) and scallops always go down well! I had my share over Christmas and New Year. I waited up till 12 so I could go to bed too. Next few days are tipped to be hot, 45 c on Saturday. How do you keep warm this time of year? Fuel bills must be a problem. Does get cold here, but not freezing like there, and my bills are high enough.--Cheers for New Year to all to all SmokeStakers.-Neil.
