Default Bessemer half breed cylinder serial numbers

Did Bessemer keep serial number records for the half breed cylinders? I'd like to find out if anything exists that could put a date of manufacture on these parts. I'm sure a lot of us would like to know.

Greetings All, Tom I also have a F/T Bessemer halfbreed. It has a brass tag also with a S.N. affixed to the cylinder and Curruthers and Fithian clutch with a tag also. I will forward the #s to you. Over the years I have found very few have tags. Learning some history possibly on this conversion would be an awesome addition to my Bessemer archives. If anything is on record I would like to share it other enthusiasts. Enuf Said.

I think you will find that the records don't go back far enough. If I recall correctly caretaker Sue told me there are only a very few (like 4 or 5) that date prior to 1904 or so.

Thank You Tom for asking Sue about these cylinders. Maybe Bessemer didn't consider these as engines, but looked at them as parts.
