Does anyone know what these mags were used on? One is a Dixie M1 with flat base. The other is a Fairbanks RV 4 cylinder mag on what appears to be a conversion bracket.

I think the RV4 went on a Fordson tractor, and Dixie might go to Cushman engine.

I've got a 1919 Indian Light Twin Engine, uses a dixie Single. Mine was rotten. End covers were nickel plated. It had ball bearings in it. I found a similar mag but it was brass bushed and the gear end armature didn't extend out as long as the original one with bearings, so, I'm still sorta looking.

I will clean the Dixie and see if I can find any nickel plating. I tried it and it produces spark. It has a advance lever for timing.

That aluminum base on yours is like mine. Mine measures 3-1/4" from center hole to center hole. And are for 1/4" bolts. Measure that also

Pat, the bolt holes on this one are 3 inches center to center one way and 4 7/16 the other. I could not find any nickel plating. The other mag is a Fordson set up. I looked at one that had the same bracket but different mag. Was this a conversion on the early ones or factory.

Like most accessories on the Fordson, they are all aftermarket by out side vendors.
