Default Dale Wetzel 1968-2012

Dale E. Wetzel was suddenly killed in a car accident today. He collected many engines and was a collector that I and many others looked to for knowledge, help, and advise about any engine or old farm implement that we may of came across in our travels. He worked tirelessly to promote engines and The Tired Iron Club, both when it was in Kinsley Ks and after it moved to Larned Ks. I know he was looking forward to the up coming Tired Iron Show in October. He will be missed by all.

OFFERLE Ks. - Dale E. Wetzel, 44, died Sept. 24, 2012. He was born April 7, 1968, son of Raymond E. and Ruth E. Leonard Wetzel.

A resident of rural Offerle, he was an oil pumper, and a member of the Zion Lutheran Church of Offerle, the Tired Iron Club of Larned and Patriot Guard. Survivors: mother, Ruth of Offerle; brothers, Ray of Garfield and Wayne of Spearville; sisters, Glenda Klein of Portland, Maine and Nancy Ashmush of La Quinta, Calif.

Funeral 2 p.m. Thursday at Zion Lutheran Church, Offerle. Memorials to the church or Tired Iron Club, in care of McKillip Funeral Home, Kinsley.
