I backed into it with my truck. I guess I shouldn't have it in the middle of the driveway.

While I'm very sorry for your loss, it does give me comfort that this unfortunate even also happens to others

bought this just before Christmas - THIS is why I still go look at cheap AJs.. It's a perfect running NG 2.5AJ-1R31 spec K 0773xxxxxx. All new ignition, fuel components, three very nice muflers, and a bunch of 1" exhaust bits (including a nice exhaust 18" flex) CL seller said "do you want this stuff?"

It was an AJ -3R31 that I backed into, so now I have another one. hehehe, and they thought a huge muffler was going to quiet down that AJ.. Maybe use that one on the DJA, but it's heavy.

What did i do today for my Onan? Well, if you really want to know I am currently at a rest stop on the NJ Turnpike taking a leak. I am on my way home with a 6.5 NH I got off of CL for $250. Details will be posted later with pictures... ( of the new Onan, not my rest stop break)

Ok so its not a Onan.. but the next best generator.. ran my kohler 2.5 for about an hour and a half.. 30 mins with a 15 amp heater and an hour with 500 watt light.. after having to fuss with it....

I picked this one up a few months ago working for 150 bucks.. ran great, stored it in my shed and would not start.. so I took the carb apart and found lots of junk in the carb , then found the mechanical fuel pump not working.. so took that apart and cleaned it all and it works great now.. I also added a fuel filter.

it did smoke a tad under the 15 amp load, but it was right in the sun and not that visible.. very quiet cant hear this one inside the house.

I gave it a workout. Power went off at 1P back on at 5P. Rolled out the 6.5 NH, hooked up the power lead and the fuel tank and ran it all afternoon.

My wife was right in the middle of cooking a family dinner, and had several pots boiling and a turkey in the oven. Now she's a green machine believer.

The fuel tole averaged out to a gallon per hour. Voltage ran between 240 and 250. Watching the carburetor throttle linkage, most of the time the engine was working at about 1/3 load.

Glad to have it,

tom

Went to camp, turned the propane on, hit my pocket remote and poof the unit is running. Did some small projects hit my remote and poof generator off. Turned off the propane and started drinking beer.

Jim very little snow. Snowed some last night maybe 2 or 3 inches. So with that being said maybe 2 to 4 inches on the ground.

Expecting snow tuesday here. Going outside to make a cement block table for the JB so I can get it off the trailer. Been real busy last few months.

Am I to interpret this to mean that you intend to leave your JB "outside" in the cold???

I am sure with a little rearranging in the dining room that there would be plenty of room for one little JB to stay inside where it is warm (the holidays are over, you do not need that big old table in the middle for another year)

Woops, sorry

I'm in process of cleaning out the garage, few years ago sold grandma's house with old 3 car garage and barn. Stuff I had been storing there came here. Only have a 1.5 car garage now, and there's a 1953 MG TD car in that has priority. Even my everyday cars have to sit outside in the snow. Humm ...I suppose maybe I could sell the two newish 175k BTU box heaters I got stored in there.

JB won't be any worse than before, the PO had it stored outside. I've got it well wrapped against the weather.

I can see leaving the modern cars out, but I'm trying to wrap my mind around how an MG can have priority over an ONAN....

Again not an onan.. i ran my 1958 5 kw pu 286 today for the first time since February. started right up afting priming the carb. only ran it for 20 min, as my new coolant hoses were leaking.. always something to tinker with..

I also ran my 6.5 nh but of course my cell phone decided to delete the picture randomly.. stupid smart phones..

The MG is the one I learned to rebuild engines on when I was a kid. It started when I was around 15 , doing as dad told me to do.

It's a New Jersey disease. It has spread your way. Is the seller working directly with the shipper? How much does that thing weigh?
