Default 1909 Bull Dog 5 Hp Runs Again

I finally got "a-round-toit..."

1909 5 Hp Bull Dog sold by Fairbanks, NY.

After a little work on the head, installed guides and made new valves. Rebuilt the igniter, tightened up a few things here and there plus the "in general" cleaning of things, so now it bump starts easy and runs nice and slow.

Thanks for looking - Ray

How do you know the year? I didn't think there were any year/serial # lists for them. I wish I could find out what year my 5 hp is.

Hi Jeff, You can find this at the B&E registry. S/N R12657 , Type B D, but it really looks like an R D
And you can thank Mr Denis Rouleau for his fine work of compiling engine data into it.

A picture of the tag. By the way it was stamped at birth, it looks like an "R."

There are no official Company serial number list. The "year built" in my registry is an estimate I made and should be used as such.
