Default Mansur Deere two hole Corn Sheller

Need help on information on this Sheller. This was restored in late 1960. I was told by a corporate service mgr. late 1960s they stopped making these in 1900. He said the plant was converted to manure spreaders in 1900. Also related the sheller was rated 350 bushel of shelled corn per hour at 360 RPM.

Any one have info. on this sheller? Parts are numbered EE + numbers, i.e EE76 for the main cast bearings. Missing is a sacker attachment; I think, due to wear on possible mounting holes. Looking for an original round belt drive pulley for the chaff blower.

I know a guy that bought a parts book off of eBay. I already asked for info on the shellers so I might be able to help.

The sacking elevator was an option on these and all I can say is

...... Good luck.

Thanks Tim.
Would be interested to find a model number if there is one. There was a logo on the side of the cob extractor. This a cross section of an ear of corn with name "DEERE & MANSUR CO MONLINE ILL" in the corn kernels with a large buck in the center. I would like to find a good photo of this to make a decal.

Will, that would be a bunch of corn to go through (350 bushel) in an hour! Wonder who these days could shovel 350 bushel in an hour?

You are right. My notes show 350 rpm not 360. I ?? that also. It wold take more than two people. I only run it slow and it still runs corn through fast.

We had a one hole hand crank sheller which we had to run almost every day.

Take a high resolution picture and measurements and other reference pictures and send them to KandK antique tractors they'll help you out.

The sheller was in bad shape with the left side cob chute damaged beyond repair as well as the bottom feet. Only about ˝ of of the corn feed table remained. A corner post had the bottom tenon rotted off. Powder post beetle plus other damage was extensive on this post. A replacement post was made from a 100 year old ash barn floor that had some insect damage that matched the other post.
The cob chute pieces were replaced with yellow pine as the original. A sign painter replaced the lettering exactly as the orignal. The pen striping was obviously done freehand. The JD lead- based paint in the 60's was a close match to the original. A total restore was done to get the sheller usable.

Thanks for the input and info. on the sheller. The catalog photos are very close. The decal appears to be te same. The lettering of the cob drag chute is different; perhaps due to the year it was made. That is the first photo of the bagging elevator I have seen.

Tim, there is 12 pages of shellers in this catalog and yes they have pictures of some that were called economy shelters that appear to be simpler versions they had one called KID which is an odd name unless it refers to the person most likely to operate them.
