Photo 1960's sears mower

I have an old sears mower i just bought a few days ago. I have been trying to figure out what i can about it. so far i can tell it is a 1960's model with a tec motor. ive tried searching model number of both the mower and engine and so far that is what ive gotten. so i was going to reach out to some subject matter experts. Model number of mower is 131 88391and the model number for the motor is 143-145012 the serial number for the motor is 436 04059 i also believe that the steering and seat have been replaced. What ever information you could tell would be greatly appreciated.

Just from shape of wind up starter, I'm guessing a Clinton engine.

The 143. is a Sears Craftsman engine made for Sears by Tecumseh. The steering wheel looks like Snapper.

Looks like the tires and wheels are ok. Once the tires wore out, that was the demise of many of these riders. If i remember correctly the wheels were steel and the tire plastic. I think your right, the seat and steering bars from another type of rider. It's great you have a preserved Craftsman survivor.

I had quite a few Sears parts books, this one included. This is for Model 131.8092. 131 is the Sears vendor code for Rally/Roper Lawn (American Yard Products). Looks like the one you posted on the far right.
