Default Marklin hot air engines and ...

Here's a couple seldom-seen toy hot air engines from about 1904 to '09 by one of Germany's best toy makers. While they are substantially made, the design was not the best and cooling was inadequate for long running. Marklin came out with improved, more efficient models after the first World War. As you can see, the little fan may have been inspired by contemporary hot air fans such as the Jost.
