Default Twin cylinder Horizontal model Steam Engine

Hidden in the back seat of a vehicle at the undisclosed "FLEA" market, a guy said to me "I have something you need to see". I saw it, liked it, no name on it, sort of for sale, gave me a today price ^ "IF" he really wants to sell it . Anyway, he left without calling me, so I guess he didn't really want to sell it today, or sold it to someone else, got his $'s and ran. It's on a cast iron base about 12" x 12", 5" flywheel, vertical flyball governor, well made.

I looked a bit on the WEB but didn't find anything similar .

Can any one identify it from the pictures, and maybe a ballpark value just in case.

You would think that 5 spoke flywheel would be a dead giveaway! Nice looking engine. Personally, I would offer 2-250 for it, if it works. Looks like the governor is a dummy - is it?

Looks like working linkage between the gov and valve.

This engine has many similarities to some of the engines made by Bischoff of Dresden. The finish on the parts make me think it has been disassembled and sand blasted which puts a nice mat texture on brass.

I just got off the phone with the owner, and he still doesn't know the make, builder, if it's operational, etc., etc.., and I couldn't dig up any information on it myself . I would have made him an offer, but not knowing what it is, I didn't. I feel he want's to much for what it is, the way it is , and besides, it's not a gas engine model .
