Default IHC 6 M muffler dilema

OK I have noticed on a couple of the Ms I have seen that they have a muffler that looks to me to be one like a Famous would have and others have the round flat cast iron one. which one is right or in other words more widely used and was the can one something different?

Merry Christmas Joe M.

Hi Joe; The IHC M engines I have seen, all use a round cast iron muffler. I have a 3HP M with an original operaters manual which also shows this type of muffler. I bought a new reproduction cast iron muffler which is identicle to the original right down to the proper cast in part number, from Starbolt Engine Supplies. Merry Christmas Craig

Craig is right Joe, these mufflers as shown in the picture are for the M's. I had this one at my engine, but since years a have a 2" stack pipe with a 1¼" restriction inside and it gives a great sound nice and quietly.

MERRY CHRISTMAS

Kevin, Starbolt sells them for the 6 hp M, once I read a guy in Canada made them for the ten horse but don't know who it's.

Kevin,
I bought one for my 10 M from Jerry Terrell. I will look for his number tomorrow.
