Urgently needed.. I'm looking for pipes used to connect the injector being tested to the CAV Pop unit.

If anyone has spares to sell let me know, the after-market testers all have metric fittings which will not connect to the British made tester.

Hello , did you put these instructions up as I have aquired a CAV pop tester , but the knob does not seem to work and it also leaks around the copper washer . Can you tell me where you put the instructions please . Regards Robbie .

This is the injector tester in question, does any one have any literature or information on is as some repairs will be required?
Cheers Robbie

Bob you are not the first to have a leakage problem with one of these testers! The gauge isolating valve can be dismantled by unscrewing the hexagon bush behind the hand wheel. The hand wheel is retained by a roll pin that can be driven out with a pin punch. A spring within the hand wheel presses the spindle in the outward direction and loads the flange on the inner end of the spindle, against the retaining bush. The faces of the bush and spindle flange may need lapping to get the faces to seal. Cant remember if there is a washer used and an O ring. If the leakage is from the copper washer on the retaining bush you might only need a new washer or to face and anneal the old washer. Will look for a parts list tomorrow.

Thanks Hugh.
Any information on this tester will be great, I always like to have manuals and literature for every thing old I have as they are sometimes very hard to obtain.
Thanks again Robbie

No luck with a parts list but have scanned the instruction book. Readers may fine it interesting. A parts list may be hard to find. Perhaps Internal Fire Museum may help.

Thanks very much. I have one of those testers and it's nice to have the manual. If you have a larger or finer resolution scan sometime that would be great too.
