Photo 2 h.p Tangye petrol engine

g'day all
i've had this engine for just over a year now and thought i should get it up and running. the engine was in exceptional original condition and didnt need any mechanical work, just a little cleaning where needed. engine had spent all its life in a shearing shed in northern N.S.W until it was acquired by another collector, then i acquired it from him. had it running roughly new years eve 09, and is probably the first time it has run in about 60 years , but got it better set up now with the fuel tank mounted properly and now runs like a top.here is a short vid of it running. just needs the muffler pot set up and a new fuel line and it is ready to show. this is a very original engine including excellent paint and all original parts except for the muffler and fuel line
cheers
mick

Mick, nice Tangye, I have one about the same size but with one flywheel and a different vapouriser etc.. Why the two flywheels?? What model tangye is it? I like the transporter - Cooper right? I have been looking for one for my Stover W!

I have not forgotten the Stover carb castings - have to chase Patrick up!

Cheers, Luke

g'day guy
thanks for the comments, cant wait to get it finished and out on the rally field. Luke: my one is a BR model and as for the flywheels, all the petrol ones of this style i have seen have the 2 flywheels. dont know why they do, maybe for more smoother running??? and yes it is a cooper transporter i have quite a few more for my other stover/cooper engine but i still dont have enough!
thats ok about the carb castings too, they will happen, im in no rush at the moment!
cheers
mick
