Thanks for posting these pictures.
That's not too far from me; I will have to plan a visit to the Penfield IL Museum. We have a Challenge Corn Planter; it will be interesting to compare the two.

And I love those corn-cutters; is this a Dain, from John Deere?
Does it have big cast-iron lettering that says "Safety Cutter" . . . I always laugh at the name "Safety Cutter" on the most dangerous looking thing ever used on a farm.
