Can a Wiko EK points be reset without taking the mag off the engine? and if so would someone tell me how to do it?

Too little information.
What engine is it on? Some engines give you easier access to the mag itself. Some drives allow you to drop the armature further than others.
At any rate, you'll need to pull the armature down far enough to get to the lock nut on the points. Here's the service instructions for the EK:

Do you "know" that the points need adjusted? There are only two bolts holding a WICO EK on the engine. Why not just remove the mag and make your life easier?

Removing the mag shouldn't "mess anything up". Just pay attention to the location of any springs that may fall off (depending on what engine you are working on). You can unbolt the mag, make the necessary adjustments, and reinstall the mag without affecting the timing. WICO EK mag drives rely on the drive design to determine timing; the mag is along for the ride.

Take a heap of pics of how your EK is fitted so you have a reference when going back together.
