Default Wichmann Hot Bulb Diesel Donation

Recently at the Zagray Farm Museum, we received a donation from the Mystic Seaport of a Norwegian-made Wichmann semidiesel. After removal from it's original vessel, it spent some time in Coolspring, and from there it went to Mystic Seaport where members spent many hours restoring it. after they had it on display for a number of years, they decided to donate the engine to our museum. Our first task was to replace the cracked timbers it was on with some fresh oak cut on our sawmill. Not a hard job at all for our Northwest 80D crane!

This engine was a running donation, so after some plumbing is done for fuel and starting air, we'll have it ready as a running display!

Got the Wichmann running today, it just barely turns over at 120PSI air pressure (we're in the process of upgrading our high pressure air). It runs ok, but it almost immediately pulled lag bolts out of our skid and pulled concrete anchors out of the floor that were holding it down! We will need to do some re-thinking and improving on our skid before we can really run it at all.

Also, if anyone has any info on the governing/throttle linkage on these engines, let us know. currently the throttle is controlled directly by hand, opening or closing the injection pump rack.
