Default New Ajax 5 X 6 1/2

Tuesday I brought home a little Ajax 5 X 6 1/2. THe tag indicates that it is a Type WL and runs between 400-900 RPMs. Along with the Ajax tag there is a National Supply Division Armco Steel Corp. tag. THe first two serial numbers on the tag are 70. The clutch assembly appears different and there does not appear to be an external side shaft. It runs with the typical deep throat thump of a two cycle engine. Any information would be welcomed. When I figure out how to post pictures will get some up.

Looked in my parts book. That engine has the side shaft inside the case. If you would like I can scan the pages from my book and send them to you.

Thumbs up Re: New Ajax 5 X 6 1/2

Hi Chuck
I wondered the other day if this was the same engine I had last year, after a phone call I recieved today now I'm sure of it .
I'm glad to hear my little baby Ajax in is good hands. I picked up that engine early last year along with my 6 1\2 X 8 . I had both engines in the back of my 1\2 ton truck It sure made the truck ride smooth but stopping was'nt an option. Your engine worked its life in an Osage county, Okla oilfield powering a Jensen 57 jump jack. And it was retired sometime in 2004. That engine sure has seen some miles in the last year. Please post a few pictures of it when you get a chance.

I was wondering how's your 5 x 6 1/2 Ajax engine is doing? I'm in the market for one and would like to have any info on them you have if you could. I have a couple I'm looking at now, but don't know enough about them to make a proper judgement. Also do you know where there is one in reasonable shape and how much?

Thanks,
ajax engine

Ajax, My little engine is now running well- how is that to tempt the fates? I am running on a gravity flow needle valve controled gasoline fuel system rather than propane. I do have some manuals/parts lists of several different Ajax engines. PM me if you are interested.
