I have spoken with Lou many times and along with being the ultimate craftsman he is a true gentleman, always willing to talk and answer any questions someone might have.
The dedication that went into the Duesy is incomprehensible even to modelers like myself. The boat and engine that he is currently working on is another beautiful piece of work and I can't wait to get to NAMES to see the progress on it.

George, I was getting ready to put down a few sentences about Lou's beyond next level
dedication and skill but those words coming from you are even more impressive.

Thanks,

Gil

Thumbs up Re: Duesenberg SJ Miniature Engine Running by Louis Chenot, 1/6 scale model video

I have seen the car several times over the years. The time and effort that he has put into this auto are beyond comprehension. If he could shrink a human to scale, after it is all done, the miniature should be able to drive it! Absolutely fantastic work, I sure would like to see it all asembled!

Andrew, It is finished now. I think it can be found in the Craftsmanship Museum online.

Gil
Would have been even more OTT if he'd built the supercharged engine. ;-) Stunning piece!

Lou's Duesenberg is now on permanent display at the Craftsmanship Museum in California.

Huh? I thought the 'charger ran off the front of the crankshaft, below the fan? Stuck out under the radiator, behind the front bumper.
