Default CCK Vacum Booster

Been playing with my "new" CCK and it seems the vacum booster has a hole in the diaphragm.

How effective and necessary is this device?

Mine will pull 5K resistive (the rated load) and keep hertz above 58 with a bad booster-getting more blowby than I like but no exhaust smoke.

I'm afraid to guess what Onan wants for a new diaphragm

Brent, I suspect some on the forum has one of those diaphragms, in their Junk Box.
Maybe this will be your Lucky Day......

I'm sure they are proud of them, if they are still in the system.

If it pulls full load, I wouldn't worrk about it, just plug the vacum line and run it. The idea was to help it out a little if you dropped a big load on it, help keep it from falling on its butt.

I like stuff "right" but $96.00 for a diaphragm and gasket is a little too much.

Anybody have one lying around?
